Pencil Drawing of Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa

I hadn’t done a drawing of Sylvester Stallone before, and it was only natural that I chose his character of Rocky. I’ve seen all of the movies, but the first and the third one are probably my favorite ones.

I picked a nice black and white picture of Rocky for my reference and worked almost exclusively with a black colored pencil. I’m particularly happy with the way the hat turned out. The face went smoothly for the most part, although it took a bit of tweaking in the end to capture his pensive expression.
