Every now and then people suggest that I draw something from the Game of Thrones even though I have to admit that I don’t really follow the series.
This drawing turned out to be very detailed and realistic in spite of the fact that my reference photo was rather small. I really put a lot of effort into the leather jacket and I think it shows. I did a very light background. There were some darker areas on the jacket so I used my softer pencils a lot more.
The drawing time was probably more than ten hours. Once the head and the hair was done, and I lightly suggested the edges of the sword, I moved onto the gear and worked like a tailor adding piece by piece. 😛 A fun drawing all in all, but by the time I got to his left sleave, I was already somewhat eager to put down my pencil. Still, patience is key for a good drawing.
