Pencil Drawing of Davy Jones

I’ve been watching Pirates of the Caribbean these days again. 😛 Davy Jones is both interesting and complicated to draw so I thought it would be a nice challenge. I thought about reinforcing the black areas a bit with a black colored pencil, but my 8b was doing a good job.

The drawing took at least ten hours I think with the tentacles being the most complicated bit. Just making the sketch of them and putting everything in its place took a while. I picked the picture of Davy Jones holding the chest with the sea raging in the background. It was a bit dark and blurry, but I think I managed to add enough detail to make it look good.
